MCM COMIC CON LIVERPOOL – STAFF ATTEND IN COSTUME, HUMAN TARDIS, MALIFICENT AND BATMAN – LIVERPOOLS FIRST EVER COMIC CON WAS A HIT
What an absolute blast, loved every minute of Liverpools first ever MCM Comic Con at the Exhibition Centre town centre.
We arrived early as we had priority tickets and were inside by 9am. There were loads of stalls to buy lots of goodies and I treated myself to a 10th Doctors Sonic Screwdriver and Tardis bracelet.
There were some fab guests at the venue among them were :-
Paul Amos, the voice of Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate protagonist Jacob Frye.
Lindsay Wagner aka The Bionic Woman.
Victoria Atkin is to join Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate co-star Paul Amos as a special guest at March’s Comic Con. Victoria voices Jacob Frye’s twin sister Evie in the hit videogame.
Jessica DiCicco, who voices the hotheaded Flame Princess in amazing animation Adventure Time, is the latest star to join Liverpool Comic Con’s special guest list.
Andrew Lee Potts will be joining Primeval co-star Hannah Spearritt (also from S Club 7).
Danny John-Jules – best known for playing the super-stylish Cat in sci-fi sitcom Red Dwarf – joining series co-star Robert Llewellyn (Kryten).
Doctor Who‘s Sophie Aldred. Sophie played The Seventh Doctor’s popular companion Ac.
The cosplay costumes were amazing and everyone was really friendly. This was my first ever cosplay and it certainly won’t be my last.

AWESOME COSTUMES IDEAL FOR FANCY DRESS/COSPLAY AT MAKEITWORKSHOP – MORE THAN A RETRO VINTAGE STORE –
OMG you might ask. What is going on at MakeItWorkShop. Well myself and two other members decided to try out a few of our diverse costumes. We walked up and down Cambridge Walks outside the shop and received a few strange second looks. 😄.
Well it all started when myself and my friend announced we had bought tickets to MCM Liverpool Comic Con which is due to take place on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th March this year at the Exhibition Centre in Liverpool. We bought tickets at the last minute and needed some knock out costumes to attend the convention in.
What is Comic Con?
A comic book convention or comic-con is an event or gathering with a primary focus on comic books and comic book culture, in which comic book fans gather to meet creators, experts, and each other. Commonly, comic conventions are multi-day events hosted at convention centers, hotels, or college campuses. They feature a wide variety of activities and panels, with a larger number of attendees participating in cosplay than most other types of fan conventions. Comic book conventions are also used as a vehicle for industry, in which publishers, distributors, and retailers represent their comic-related releases.
Nowadays, comic conventions are big business, with recurring shows in London, Liverpool, Manchester, Birmingham, Nottingham, Glasgow to name but a few. Comic book conventions in name only, the biggest shows include a large range of pop culture and entertainment elements across virtually all genres, including horror, animation, sci-fi, anime, manga, toys, collectible card games, video games, webcomics, and fantasy novels.
We will be at MCM Liverpool Comic Con on Saturday 12th March and can’t wait to see anyone else who is attending. If your stuck for a costume there is still plenty of time to pop down to MakeItWorkShop and grab a fab costume.
