A Year In Review… Looking at 2018’s Achievements

Posted on

Wow what a year it has been.

Our fabulous GIGA events in collaboration with Merseyside Waste Authority encouraging people to repair rather then replace. We had a number of repair workshops at our sister site and On The Road across Merseyside. We are very proud to know we saved a vast amount from going to landfill and saved people money.

We attended our first Comic Con at Southport with North West Comic Cons. Drik and Dread dalek certainly enjoyed themselves and allowed Earthlings and Cosplayers alike to have their photos taken with them.

We donated a very special lambing chair we had upcycled to Presfield Specialist School which the children loved.

The Boss jumped out a plane at 13,000 feet to raise money for Muscular Dystrophy and lived to tell the tale. What a fabulous 60th birthday present from the team and how proud we all are, well done Ray on raising £167.00.

Being invited to join Sandpipers for their themed British T.V breakfast with Drik and Dread to surprise the guests.

Having the pleasure of attending not 1 but 2 wonderful Doctor Who themed weddings with Drik and Dread daleks. One right here in Southport the other in Lancashire.

Other great events included the Wesley Street Festival, The Chilli Festival and Loving Lodge Lane.

Our 7th year and this has been the best so far. Thank you all for your support – without which we wouldn’t continue to exist.

Happy Christmas Everyone. We are using Memory Tree instead of decorations this year.
